Vickery Meadow Learning Center founded as nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) – first classes met in apartment clubhouses.
Our First Property
Acquired property in Vickery Meadow and began daytime classes with concurrent childcare.
Expanded classroom space at Vickery Meadow Campus.
Formalized Early Childhood Education Program.
Added 1,800 SF additional classrooms to Vickery Meadow Campus.
Opened first satellite campus in West Dallas
Began serving East Dallas as result of merger with nonprofit, English Language Ministry (ELM)
Formalized Student Services Program.
Changed name to Literacy Achieves to reflect our growth.
Moved programming to fully online due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Provided more than $200,000 worth of direct financial assistance to families impacted by COVID-19 in January 2021.
In-Person Classes Return
Classes returned to in-person, while continuing to offer online programming in summer 2021.
